Loquil for Android

On Google Play

A dictation bubble above the keyboard: tap it, speak, tap again, and the text arrives already polished in the field you were writing in — WhatsApp, Gmail, Notes, browsers, any app.

How it works

1

Install and sign in

Install Loquil from Google Play and sign in with your Loquil account: the same one you use on Windows and Linux, with the same word quota.

2

Turn on the bubble

Loquil asks for the accessibility permission: on Android it's the only way an app can write into other apps' text fields. The app guides you step by step.

3

Dictate

Tap a text field in any app, tap the bubble, speak, tap again: the polished text is written right there. Send as usual.

Why the bubble needs accessibility

The dictation bubble appears above the keyboard when you tap a text field, and writes there the text you dictate. On Android the accessibility service is the only way to do that. Loquil uses it for nothing else: it doesn't read your screen for other purposes, collects no data and shares nothing with third parties. Audio reaches the Loquil service only while you dictate, to be transcribed.
